40th Minifigure Birthday Parade & Celebration

The LEGO® Minifigure turns 40 this year and to celebrate, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston will be hosting a FREE LEGO® Minifigure character parade and build activities on Saturday, June 23rd from 10 am-3 pm at Assembly Row in Somerville.

The parade will begin at 10:00 am and feature costume Minifigure characters including the Police Man, the first LEGO® Minifigure ever created! Additional characters include Emmett from The LEGO Movie, Kai from LEGO® NINJAGO, Bertie, LEGOLAND Discovery Center’s mascot, and the Jester. LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston’s Master Model Builder Megan Amaral and the 2017-2018 Creative Crew.

Once the parade ends at 11:00 am, fans are invited to commemorate the 40th birthday at a Minifigure trading station (bring a Minifigure and trade with the Master Model Builder and other staff members) and Pop-Up Build Stations outside at Assembly Row. The costume characters will also be making meet & greet appearances throughout the afternoon for photos. These events are free and open to the public.

For guests that would like to continue their build adventure inside the Discovery Center, advance tickets are suggested to guarantee admission and can be purchased online.
